The end result of great design is what is seen, used and loved. However, it’s the means of getting there that creates the end. At .reSPOKE  we pay close attention to each stage of this process.

The first step is to clarify the intent of the project and understand what problems require design solutions. We will create a vision with you, one which can include functional aspects, intangible and cultural elements, desired aesthetics and the themes or values the project needs to express.

Next, we expand these ideas with research to collect inspiration, identify the target audiences and markets, and establish your needs from the design. Our research also investigates potential materials, construction methods, and the cost and time estimates of the project.

Then, we begin refining this vision by identifying the specific requirements for the job at hand. This includes the location, weather conditions, uses, legal requirements, dimensions, materials and maintenance of the project. With these established, we can begin brainstorming solutions and designs. The best ideas from this process are then sketched.

This leads into the next stage of development work, where the best ideas are a 3-D model. Modelling allows us to show you the intended look and feel of the design and see how the project will relate to its surroundings.

This design is then presented to you for evaluation. The design can then be reconsidered, refined and redesigned for a final presentation. If necessary, a prototype can be developed as a part of these final design phases. Once the final presentation is agreed upon, fabrication and construction can commence. Completed, the project can be delivered and installed.
